Swans at Stratford

We are moored just outside the Basin at Stratford upon Avon, just the other side of the bridge, we had not planned to be this far but the moorings between Wilmcote and here are almost non-existent.

We found a spot with bollards, good we thought, but the spacing is very awkward or my boat is the wrong length.

Just after tying up Wozie turned round and ‘jumped’ just behind her was a swan on its nest.

From waters edge to the nest is about six feet, the towpath is quite busy with walkers and dogs but this does not seem to phase them.
