Shipton on Cherwell.

Luckily we found a rare spare 14 day mooring and pulled in. I really liked these very unusual chimneys as they look very sturdy and are probably unique!  As it was mid-day snack time we trundled off down to see what Annie's Tea Room had to offer. It was pretty busy and there was a wider selection of hot food available under the new ownership. We got chatting to Jillie there and she worked out that it was about three years since we were last down this way. After warming up with homemade Leek and Potato Soup, Bacon Sandwich with coffee we strolled down past the Boat Inn. Here we had a quick chat with Sue and Vic on nb No Problem. We like to stay here as it is so nice and quiet usually. plenty of walkers pass our boat, probably sampling the delicious food at the tea room en-route.
