There were a couple of spaces opposite the Boathouse Inn so we moored up there. Next day we pushed Oakfield over to the pub mooring ready for our family to come visiting. It was raining and cold that morning so we fired up the squirrel stove for some warmth. We had coffee and cookies aboard, then went into the pub for our lunch. Whilst waiting we amused ourselves with drawing around each others hands and colouring in. After lunch the boys played on the train out in the garden and made a new friend to play with. We then retired back on board for stories, fun and games. Our youngest grandson spent much time looking out of the side hatch and waving to all the boaters passing by in the sunshine. After tea it was time to say our goodbyes as they were strapped into their car seats for a snooze on the way home. Just a perfick day for us.
