So, here we are stuck with mini icebergs about 2-3 inches thick floating all around us. During the day the sun melts them somewhat, then everything refreezes overnight.
My favourite duck comes along with her friends every day to be fed.
So do the little birds on the towpath, keenly watched over by Tilly the cat. Tonight –6º is forecast, so we will have to wait and see what happens next.
Our neighbours knocked today and asked if we would like to connect hoses and fill both boats (water tanks)with water. Hoses connected with one across the frozen canal, both boats soon filled.
