Several inches of snow fell overnight, but by the morning it had began to melt. There was a slippery slushy covering over the ice on the canal when the birds came for their breakfast.
A single Fieldfare came down for a drink.
Then it puffed up its feathers and perched in a bush for a rest.
So did the Pied Wagtail as it was so tired from scuttling about all day.
The ducks came past leaving their footprint patterns too.
The Sparrows were funny when they came for their group bath in the slush!
