Mystery Car.

IMG_0705

This was my favourite car, so I thought it deserved it’s own space. I would have liked to have gone for a ride around in that.

IMG_0704Here it is from the other side, I presume the big drum at the back is the petrol tank. Instead of a boot there is an old tin trunk strapped on the back behind the spare wheel. That is a chain drive showing by the back wheel. So, what make of car might this be?

IMG_0714 Post Office All the little Austin's were lined up in a neat row in front of the Post office. It brought back many memories of the times when we broke down in my Dad’s old cars!

Thanks to all those people who have made comments on our blog recently, we do appreciate your feedback.

Hi
The car is an American La France of about 1915 vintage they were originally fire engines! with 14 litre engines with double chain driven back axles.
