So, what did we think of the Caldon Canal? Beautiful in many places and if you like industrial heritage it is very interesting indeed. Quite a few chicanes, especially so under some of the narrow, low bridges, so Bottle was challenged in many places. Why is it that boats always seem to meet in these places too? We always peep the horn when we can’t see our way clear, if only other boaters would do the same life may be easier for us all!
