The gales ceased eventually, so we cruised on passing under this lovely little turnover bridge at Milford. As you can see there was hardly any breeze at all and there were even some sunny spells en-route. We moored in another great spot above Tixall Lock with cows and sheep for company. We were lucky enough to see three Kingfishers darting around with the sun illuminating their plumage. Perhaps they are always around, but we just don’t notice them if it is a dull day. This beautiful Oak tree stands alone in all it’s grandeur in the Shugborough Estate, perfick.
