Market Harborough expedition.

IMG_0021 Working Hosre Sculpture

Through the round window we have a good view of the working horse sculpture with it’s young boy attendant. Everyone who pauses to admire it cannot resist giving it a tap to see whether it is made of bronze. It certainly has the patina of bronze, but is in fact some sort of composite material. As it was such a nice sunny day we walked to the bus stop about a mile away and rode into Market Harborough to replenish our supplies. Fortunately it happened to be the Farmers Market so we got cakes, pasties and fresh eggs there. Then on to Sainsbury’s and Tesco's, as we usually stock up with things that are on offer if we can. On our return we had our pasties for lunch and headed off down the locks to have a drink and watch the people and boats manoeuvring. We helped two small boats, who were sharing the locks, on their way up.

We had a well earned siesta and salad for tea back on board Oakfield.
