Hillmorton.

It was a nice peaceful night aboard at All Oaks Wood to be followed by a sunny morning cruise along through Newbold Tunnel to moor in front of fellow blogger Wairau then pop down to Tesco. The car wash/valeting service in the car park was quite busy with prices ranging from £7-£70 depending how much was to be cleaned! There I met our friend Elaine with her shopping and offered her a lift aboard Oakfield. After tea and biscuits off we went to drop her back to her boat, and Reg moored along at Clifton Cruisers. Nb Shirley Anne was also there and Graham came out to say a quick hello to us.

The potato harvest was being gathered in as we approached Hillmorton and two volunteer lock keepers opened the gates to let us glide straight into the bottom lock. Another boat came down so the other two locks were in our favour too, perfick timing! There was a notice appealing for people to join C&RT for £3, hmm! We moored just above the locks for the night,
