After a misty start it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day so we watered the horse by the quagmire that surrounds the Rugby water tap. I walked along to pull Oakfield in while Bottle stayed onboard to supervise the filling of the tank.
Neither of us is agile enough to leap across the wide gap onto the poor edging of the bank so this was the easiest solution. When we had finished I walked on up to the narrows for Bottle to cruise past slowly to pick me up. This picture shows just how near to the bank the boat can get!
We went further on to turn and then made our way to Clifton Cruisers for a much needed pump out.
Their lovely dog Heidi watched over the proceedings from the wharf. The boat is running quite level in the water again for a while. We have now cruised along to moor up by our friend, so as he won’t feel lonely over the weekend while his better half is away.

That gap looks a bit of a nightmare. It could leave you stranded at sea!
